One Effective Treatment method is to use a liquid insecticide such as Talstar to soak the mound as well as to treat the perimeter to prevent the ants from reaching the house. However many Homeowners prefer the ease of use offered by a baiting program. Baits can be extremely effective in eliminating fire ants; however care must be taken to choose the correct bait.
